Previously on The Royal Fiance...... http://blacksoulz.blogspot.com/2015/12/the-royal-fiance-white-prince-chapter-1.html
Shiori felt
as if his lips were still numb.
An
extravagant luxurious-looking chandelier, gold sequins in intricate patterns
adorning the walls, an age-old desk. These exuded an air of high social
standing, as if being the physical representation of the royal family's
prestige.
Shiori was
being pressured regarding work by the secretary in his office. Even though it
was just the day right after the wedding ceremony, Shiori continued to complete
his daily work for the royal family's business.
The wedding
ceremony.
The place
where Shiori tasted humiliation that he never did before.
The touch
and rough aftertaste of the grape wine lingered at the tip of Shiori's tongue,
twined its way around Shiori's lower body, and slowly ignited that insidious
fire within his body......
"Your
majesty, are you feeling alright? Did the wedding ceremony take a toll on your
body?"
Upon the
secretary's attempt to get Shiori's attention, Shiori snapped out of his
reverie.
As long as
that man is forgotten, all will be well.
It was not
as if Shiori would meet that man again.
Although
Shiori appeared to be detached and unconcerned on the outside, he spared no
effort when attending to his work. That was the reason why when the secretary
noticed Shiori being lost in his thoughts, he could not help but be extremely
worried and asked out of concern for Shiori.
"I am
fine. Is there anything else you would like to report?" Shiori urged his
secretary in a calm tone. Seeing that Shiori had returned to his normal
collected self, the secretary felt relieved. The secretary's expression,
however, was still slightly tense when he replied Shiori.
"There
is. Recently, there have been numerous reports regarding aged but of poor
quality champagnes that are labelled 'Vintage' being distributed and circulated
in the market."
"Champagnes
of poor quality?"
After
listening to the secretary's report, Shiori lifted his head from the documents.
"Yes.
Generally speaking, only champagnes that state and ensure that the year of
harvest of the grapes, the usage of top-quality grapes and the maturation
period of at least three years are given the title of 'Vintage'. However, as of
late, this 'Vintage' label had been found on champagnes of poor quality in the
market - the grapes used to make the wine are sub-standard, even the
champagne's maturation period does not meet the standard."
"What
did you just say?" The expression in Shiori's eyes suddenly became stern.
This matter simply cannot be taken lightly. Not only that, this matter could
possibly damage the country's reputation.
"Are
you implying that some unaged liquor that do not even deserve to be called
champagne are actually hiding under the guise of 'aged liquor' and are being
sold as such on the market?"
"Affirmative."
"That
being the case, these inferior quality liquors surely do not follow the proper
methods for brewing and fermentation. This should be the handiwork of a
scoundrel out to make a handsome profit by lowering his production costs as
much as possible."
In general,
only ingredients from chosen and reputed areas can be used to make such
champagnes. However, in Ecuratol, long before the enforcement of the AOC law (a set of indicators regarding the origin, quality an style of wine), there exists a set of unique standards that have been
known globally. This set of standards stipulate ways for the fermentation
process in a very detailed manner. Only grape wines that meet such stringent
standards can be crowned as 'Vintage'.
In Ecuratol,
grape wines of the lowest quality are those that only require 15 months to
mature, and those that are 'Non-Vintage' (wines without a date on the label).
Following that, wines that have matured for at least three years are considered
as 'Vintage' wines (Wines labelled with the harvest year of the grapes which
were used to make the wine). And at the top of it all, the wine of the highest
quality was labelled as the 'Royal Vintage'.
"Amongst
the substandard wines that had the 'Vintage' labels, some of them had the
'Royal Vintage' labels pasted on them." The secretary continued, sounding
as if he had been seized by fear.
"......",
Shiori could not help but let out a gasp.
That very
act of wrongfully labeling the champagnes was to blemish Shiori's reputation.
Champagnes
that are allowed to be labelled as 'Royal Vintage' not only required the use of
grapes that have been harvested from vineyards that that have been proven to be
of high quality, it also required Shiori's approval.
Only
champagnes that have been tasted and approved by Shiori can then be crowned as
'Royal Vintage'.
Champagnes
that are labelled as 'Royal Vintage' in the market are few and far between -
its exceptionally good and distinctive character and flavour made people
compare such champagnes to Shiori - a flower that is hard to reach; almost
unattainable, and it has been very well-received by critics and fans alike.
While it has
been mentioned that dateless 'Non-Vintage' champagnes are the lowest quality
out of all the champagnes, such judgement is only limited within Ecuratol.
In reality,
champagnes that use a combination of grapes that have been harvested during the
years with bad harvest (due to unfavourable weather circumstances, few grapes
grow and hence, can be harvested) and grapes that are harvested on years that
are known to have produced good quality grapes are actually much more
distinctive flavour-wise, despite being 'Non-Vintage'.
Regardless
of the time it was sold, a 'Non-Vintage' champagne that promises a distinctive
and pleasing flavour - the person who can make such a blend is Shiori, as he is
someone who has an exceptionally good
sense of taste. Due to Shiori's assurance regarding the quality,
Ecuratol's grape wines were able to become world-renowned and receive the trust
of everyone.
The
country's entire wine industry is sustained and backed by this very prestige
and recognition of their wines.
As it was
wine that had been created by Shiori himself, as it was wint that had been
approved by Shiori himself, it was definitely good to savour...... but the poor
tasting wines have betrayed this trust that people have towards Shiori's seal
of approval.
"What
leads are there?"
"The
subordinates are currently checking, however, as of now, they are unable to
find out the reason for such bad quality wines to be labelled as 'Vintage' and
'Royal Vintage'. ", the secretary replied with a reluctant expression.
"Continue
the investigation.", ordered Shiori. Since the investigation was already
well underway, before the truth of the matter is uncovered, the only thing
Shiori could do was to wait.
"This
matter aside, I will have to select the champagne that will be distributed and
sold for use in the banquet organised by the Japanese diplomat, am I
correct"
Even though
Shiori was unwilling, he had a pile of work waiting for him
"Yes,
the dealer would like to purchase champagne of the greatest quality for this
event. This large-scale banquet will be a grand occasion at which ambassadors
from several different countries and continents will gather. As such, the
Japanese dealer who will be overseeing this banquet mentioned that the costs
would not be an issue. Instead, he stressed that using wine which the people
trust is of the utmost importance and concern."
"I am
well aware of that fact even if he did not mention it."
The
ambassadors have likely been posted to countless of countries before, and at
the country of their posting, ate the best cuisine that the country has to
offer.
As the
distributor has chosen to use Ecuratol's champagne, its aim was likely to raise
its reputation. Furthermore, the dealer specifically designated for 'Royal
Vintage' champagnes to be used at the large-scale banquet. The sum of money needed to import such a large
amount of 'Royal Vintages' would be considerably large.
This very
intention showed that the amount of value the dealer places in Ecuratol's
champagne.
Wines that
are able to meet the conditions and hence be labelled as a 'Royal Vintage' were
too little, too few.
Everyone in
the world wanted to get their hands on such rare champagnes.
However, if
one were to search and purchase all of such champagnes' existing stock......
"After
you are done selecting the champagne, we will need to paste the labels on the
bottles. In the evening, the chosen champagnes will be shipped out. The dealer
expressed his wish for the champagnes to be air flown into Japan in order for
them to arrive on time for tomorrow's banquet."
"This
matter is very rushed."
"Such
urgency indicates that the banquet is of utmost importance. Also, this year is
the year which the ban on Japan is lifted. Thus, this action will also be used
to create a topic of interest at the banquet."
"So the
champagne will simply be something for the attendees to chatter about?"
The dealer
was very shrewd. If the atmosphere amongst the attendees was lively, warm and
intimate, they would naturally have a good impression of the banquet. The
dealer had even accurately calculated the sort if impression that the attendees
would have of the banquet after it ends.
"The
champagnes from several different dealers have been prepared in the next room
for your tasting."
"Understood.
I will head over immediately."

Page 24 - page 30 of the novel. Enjoy! ^^
Felt like I have learnt much more about wine and all after translating these few pages. The importance of Shiori is often overlooked and I feel that it's parts like these that really build on the fact that Shiori is dedicated and is actually someone who should be more appreciated ;w;
While the smex scenes will still take awhile to come, these scenes really provide insight on Shiori's character! So I hope you will like them :3
I WANT TO GO TO ONE OK ROCK'S CONCERT UGHHHHHH THEY ARE COMING TO SG

Happy 2016! Spent the New Year on the plane.
Just back from my Kaoshiung, Taiwan trip! Although it was a 6D5N trip, I would say the manga haul is not bad. (For a 40kg weight limit for 5 people...which means only 8kg for one person ;A;)
Before the trip, I was excited about visiting the local bookstore chains such as 成品 and other chains such as Kinokuniya <3 However, the true treasure troves were their 2nd hand bookstores and their manga rental stores! (Some manga rental stores sell mangas quite cheaply)
The lady boss of the hotel we stayed in suggested really nice places to do book hunting - "茉莉" and "MLD台鋁生活商場".
'Mo Li' is a relatively large 2nd hand bookstore chain. The arrangement inside the store made it seem as if it was NOT a store selling second hand books, but rather, a store that sells brand new books. Although the yaoi selection there is limited, I managed to find a few shounen ai mangas neatly and well-wrapped in plastic. The prices there are quite low - 168nt (Around SGD$7.40) for 4 new looking and in good condition mangas <33
'MLD台鋁生活商場' is a really, really classy looking place - http://mld.com.tw/about/
Photo ops, new book + fresh woody smells abound. Unfortunately, they do not stock ANY mangas at all (I assume that mangas do not sit well with their retro-classy theme). They stock English books, lots of cooking and arts related books. However, they have beautiful sitting areas where you can enjoy a nice chat with your friends or to simply enjoy your new books. I highly recommend this place to cinema-goers, book-lovers, or anyone who loves the comfort of a resting area surrounded by the refreshing scent of new books.
I lodged near 六合夜市 and a store that stocks a lot of old books and mangas! It's called 'BooksNet'. While the prices for the mangas are not significantly lower than the new books price, they do stock quite a few hidden gems - such as old CJ Michalski mangas and out-of-print mamgas :3
One of the most important takeaway from this trip is that KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED WHEN WALKING. No matter where you walk - the back alley, the main street, OPEN YOUR EYES. Not to be wary of muggers but to be wary of MANGA RENTAL STORES that slap 'selling mangas!' at their store front.
The manga rental store I found in a separate island from Kaoshiung -西子湾 was the store that made my day. ONE MANGA FOR 40NT (Arond SGD$1.70). Although the condition of the mangas aren't great, I would say that feeling of satisfaction walking out of a manga store 8 mangas richer and $15 poorer cannot be beat. The old man (I think he is in his late 50s or early 60s) is the best - I engaged in a chat with him regarding BL mangas hahahahah!
The only regret I have after this trip - I still cannot find the novels for 花花游龙 :')
My nose is currently falling off and a whole pile of yaoi mangas are waiting. School is too. Hope I can recover fast enough ugh.
Will try to find time to do the translations!
P.S. They have LOTS of adorable cat stores and dogs <333

Shiori looked over towards the source of the sounds,
towards the direction of the main hall in curiosity. For some reason, a large
crowd had gathered. In the centre of the crowd, is a man of tall stature.
The man softly kissed a lady on the back of her hand and
hugged her gently as a greeting. Upon witnessing this scene, Shiori immediately
knew that the screams were shrieks of joy from the ladies when they were being
kissed on the cheek by this man.
It was simply unacceptable for this kind of unruly man to
appear at a royalty's wedding reception.
Shiori furrowed his
eyebrows.
These actions were simply
not befitting of today's wedding reception.
"Do come visit soon,
hm?"
The ladies were all crowding around that man's side, as
if in an attempt to get him to notice them and reciprocate their flirting. The
man, too, was wearing a gleeful smile and was giving them his attention
individually.
Prim and proper ladies in high-class attire were behaving
like female cats when they were under the man's gaze. Whenever the man spoke to
one of the ladies in the crowd, other ladies would start to get into a jealous
tussle. When this happened, the man would whisper some sweet words of praise to
the ladies, and this allowed for all the ladies' ego to be satisfied.
He is the kind of man that could make every woman cling
onto him. The way he carried himself confidently was as if he was used to being
the centre of attention amongst women. Those arms of his must have had many
intimate experiences with women before...
Their gaze met halfway.
--------!
A pair of thick, but well-shaped eyebrows was set on a
handsome face with a sharp, well-defined jawbone and a pair of sharp-looking
eyes. He appeared to be in his late twenties and had a firm grip - perhaps the
line of work that he is in requires manual labour. Those broad shoulders make
it seem as if he is a very reliable person and his well-built torso gives a
totally different impression from one that a white-collared worker would give.
Indeed.
His features and charm was enough to make all the women
around him swoon. However, he his style simply had no class.
His jet black hair was in a mess, with a few stray
strands of hair falling loosely across his forehead. His tie was hanging loose,
ad his suit was only buttoned up to the second button.
The way the man dons his attire is similar to that of
Kousuke. However, he did not exuberate the same air of royalty or good
upbringing. This man was vastly different. It was clear that the outer vest and
the entire suit that he was wearing is of high-quality. Despite these classy
and expensive clothes, it simply could not mask the air of wildness he exudes.
How on earth did this type of man slip into such an
exclusive occasion -----
Shiori's eyes narrowed.
Despite making eye contact with Shiori, that man's
expression remained unchanged. To top it all off, he did not break the eye
contact. Guests visiting the Palace always remembered who the royalties are and
how the look like. This is not just a matter of general knowledge, it is a sign
of respect. Furthermore, if anyone were to make eye contact with any one of the
royalty, they were expected to lower their eyes or to nod in acknowledgement
towards the royalty.
Such a disrespectful and
haughty man.
He had absolutely no right to turn up for today's event.
It was actually not necessary for Shiori to notice or take any action against
such a person. If this was another every day event hosted by the Royal Palace, Shiori
would have ignored this man's presence and quietly leave the event venue.
However, for some reason, this man's prideful attitude
and the manner in which he entertained the ladies with were not something that
Shiori could stomach.
Partaking in the wine and entertaining ladies at the same
time, it was obvious that this man enjoyed living a loose life.
At least he was free and
having fun.
While on the other hand, Shiori who will be living a life
of uncertainty from today as he would living under his brother's - Sho's strict
orders. Even Shiori could not tell how his life will be like in the near
future. To make matters worse, he would have to live under the constant
perverted gaze of Marlo, no matter how disgusted Shiori is with Marlo.
Although Shiori is used to keeping his emotions under the
lid well, he was unable to suppress his anger today.
"How uncouth!"
With just two words from Shiori, the festive atmosphere
immediately died down, leaving behind a deathly silence.
"You do not have the
right to be present at today's Royal banquet."
Simply unbearable.
Shiori glared directly at the man with cold eyes that
threatened to freeze its surroundings, such that nobody, nothing, could move a
single inch.
"Get out!", Shiori
commanded.
Under the eyes of countless VIPs and highly respected
people, Shiori disgraced this man in a highly-regarded venue - the Royal
Palace.
"Very well."
To his surprise, the man seemed unaffected and could not
be bothered with Shiori's outburst. He even wore an emotionless smile.
"------!"
Shiori knew that the tables had turned - and that he was
on the receiving end of that man's insult.
"Oh well, it's about time for me to go somewhere and
sober up anyway.", the man smiled coldly, waved, and sauntered out of the
main hall.
He did not even bother
looking back.
The manner in which he left the main hall was as if he
did not have any regrets or attachment to the event, and his attitude imprinted
deeply onto the minds of everyone who witnessed the short exchange.
Without a shred of embarrassment, he left a fresh
impression of himself to others.
The incident that took place did not reach the ears of
the newlyweds, who were at the centre of the main hall. The wedding banquet
continued as per normal, as if that mini-episode had never occurred. Nobody
noticed, or cared, that Shiori had been humiliated.
After all, Shiori is merely
the side show of today's event.
Musicians played tunes that soothed and conjured a sense
of bliss in the hearts of the guests.
Shiori felt awkward participating in small talks with the
guests, and decided to sip some grape wine in order to pass time. A soft tint
of red started to spread across Shiori's pale cheeks after some time.
'When I sober up, I will just quietly leave the banquet
and retire to my room.' Shiori thought to himself.
Even if he had left the wedding reception, nobody would
realise. He was simply too insignificant a being for the guests present today
to care about.
In fact, as far as the next Ecuratan King is concerned,
it would be better for Shiori to vanish from the face of the Earth.
After all, any obstructions
should just disappear.
Shiori placed the wine glass onto the table lightly and
made his way towards the balcony. However, someone, or some people, were ahead
of Shiori, standing at the moonlit balcony.
Silhouettes of two people
who were standing overlapped.
The man who had his hands wrapped snugly around the
woman's waist, opened his eyes slightly upon noticing the presence of a third
party watching them.
In the dimly lit balcony, that man managed to identify
who the third party was - Shiori.
'That's the guy......!'
The guy who was shamed and chased out of the banquet by
Shiori.
And at the same time, the man who humiliated Shiori.
In that man's sight,
Shiori's figure was clear as day.
Upon seeing the shock on Shiori's face, the man brought
his lips onto the lady's.
"......!"
The man lifted his gaze a little, checking Shiori's
reaction while pulling the lady closer to him. Their bodies were pressed
against each other in a tight embrace, with their tongues intertwining.
Every sound of their watery kisses could be clearly heard
by Shiori. The both of them could even find short gaps between their passionate
kisses to let out low moans of satisfaction.
Shiori knew that the man was trying to let Shiori witness
this scene on purpose. He knew that the man was laughing at him, mocking him.
The lady seemed to be too engrossed and drowning in their
hot kisses. With just one kiss, the lady seemed to have lost all the strength
in her body. Their lips finally parted when the lady's knees started to buckle.
The lady had a satisfied look on her face as she rested in the man's embrace.
How rough, and crass.
This man probably stood on
the exact opposite end of the world that Shiori was brought up in.
"You lowlife!"
Shiori scorned.
Due to Shiori's
interference, the lady glanced at Shiori unhappily. However, her expression
changed instantaneously upon realising Shiori's status.
She noticed that the man's
attention was focused on Shiori, and she left the balcony hurriedly in a panic.
"Did I not request for
you to leave? Or would you like me to request for the security to escort you?"
Shiori was not planning to
let the man who had blemished the important royal wedding banquet off lightly.
This man not only humiliated Shiori - he had humiliated
the royal family, which equates to humiliating the entire country.
Shiori stared icily at the man.
Even though Shiori will not be ascending the throne, he
was someone who was brought up as a royalty, and the self-respect and tolerance
he commanded was not something to be scoffed at. The charisma Shiori exudes was
more than enough to put the masses in awe.
A quit anger stirred behind his pupils. Unbeknownst to
Shiori, the actions that seemed so every day and mundane to him appeared ever
so brilliant to everyone else.
Due to the kind of environment that Shiori was brought up
in and his own stern attitude, he was unable to overlook any sort of
irresponsible action or person.
Anyone would prostrate himself in front of an angry
Shiori to beg for his forgiveness.
However, this man did not seem the least bit affected.
"Are you thinking of getting a kiss from me
too?" The man approached Shiori slowly.
The imposing air that he exuded made Shiori unable to
move.
The man grabbed Shiori's wrist. Not quick enough to shake
his grip off, Shiori was yanked into the man's embrace.
"You look unsatisfied."
His hands snaked around Shiori's waist.
Shiori's pride would never
allow him to run away, even in this situation. But something was telling him
that he needed to escape. Fast.
However, his legs were
unable to move.
His sharp gaze made Shiori
unable to look away, unable to move.
......the man swiftly
pressed his lips against Shiori's.
Shiori's eyes widened.
He started struggling
against this man, but the more he did so, the closer the man would push his
lower body against Shiori's waist.
"Nnnh...! Hff!"
The kissed deepened, with
the man toying with Shiori's desperately retreating tongue.
"Hnnh, nn,
nngh......!"
Shiori knew that he was
being treated the same way as the lady from before. Like a whore.
And yet, he is a royalty.
"Un, un- unhand me......!"
Shiori's command came out as
a plaintive wail and was immediately drowned out by the intensity of the kiss.
The man's hand trailed
slowly across Shiori's back, as if caressing him. Bringing his knee between Shiori's
legs, he nudged his knee upwards......
Shiori felt as if is body
was burning.
"L-Let
go......Ah!"
He could feel that the hand
that he was using to push against the man was slowly losing its strength. Despite
Shiori's continued resistance by pushing against the man's chest, the man stood
rooted.
Feeling short of air,
Shiori's field of vision reddened. The man sucked Shiori's tongue and licked
the sweet liquid that spilled from the side of Shiori's mouth.
Shiori could feel his tongue
going numb, his body twitching involuntarily. The heat in his body seemed to
slowly spread and concentrated itself at the areas he was being caressed - his
lips and his lower body. The feeling that welled up within his body was
indescribable.
The hand that Shiori used to
resist the man now hung loose at his side, and both their chests were glued
together within the man's tight embrace. A certain numbness spread throughout Shiori's
chest as the man fondled Shiori's chest through his shirt. The man traced
Shiori's backed lightly with his fingertips, making Shiori unable to prevent a
soft moan from escaping his lips.
"......Ah......"
As Shiori's soft lips were
taken roughly by the man, Shiori could feel his consciousness slipping away.
Even his breath was being robbed by the man, and he could feel his body
starting to burn with desire.
Even so, Shiori's pride,
which is much higher than that of most people, made him want to defeat this
haughty man and not show any signs of weakness.
Upon seeing that Shiori was
no longer struggling, the man decided to slacken the kiss between them. In that
instant, Shiori raised his hand .
"Slap......!"
Following the crisp and
resounding sound of Shiori's slap, the man's cheek turned an angry red.
What an obscene man.
Shiori had never felt this
humiliated in his entire life.
The man seemed unruffled
despite being under the full brunt of Shiori's angry glare, as if he was
looking down on Shiori.
The first kiss he had with
this man tasted faintly of grape wine.

And now, on to the real stuff.
Chapter 1
Pressurage/ Brut Nature
Europe, Ecuratol - a country that is known as the jewel on the sea.
The wedding reception for the future King is taking place in the Royal Palace and entire country is abuzz about the long-awaited week-long royal wedding.
In Ecuratol, gay marriages are recognised and the partner of the eighteen year old (to-be) King is a seventeen year old Japanese boy. However, it was an arranged marriage. Under the orders of the former King, Shou's grandfather, Shou was forced to accept this loveless marriage. Shiori could not help but to pity the young boy who was to be married to Shou. Shiori's emotions towards Shou, however, was an entirely different story - he could not be more indifferent towards Shou. Shou shares the same father as Shiori, but different mothers. The person whom forcefully set-up this marriage was the previous King, and Shiori's grandfather. If such an order is followed by any of the next-in-line via marrying the person whom the previous King chose, he will then ascend the throne.
As Shou's marriage is with the person chosen by the previous King, Shou will indisputably be the next King.
The young boy was probably extremely nervous and his face was slightly pale. In contrast to the fidgety bride, Shiori's brother, Shou appeared to be much more reliable-looking than before after being engaged to the young boy.
Shiori looked coldly towards Shou, who was brimming with confidence.
His name is Shiori. Ecuratol. The bridegroom and the next King is Limnio. Shou. Ecuratol - the first son of the current King's First Wife, who is also Shiori's younger brother.
The country of Ecuratol and Japan had close bilateral relations for a long time, hence following the Ecuratan tradition, citizens' middle names are Japanese.
"Cheers!"
"May the two of you be blessed!"
Joyous cheers and congratulatory words from foreign guests and delegates filled the main hall. Everyone present was savouring high-quality wine that was produced in Ecuratol.
While Ecuratol may be a small country, it is globally recognised to be a world-class wine producing country. The grape wine that Ecuratol produces have been the envy of many other countries as other grape wines are simply incomparable in terms of quality. Wine connoisseurs highly favour wine that is produced in Ecuratol, a country that has a clear and refreshing blue sea.
"With this marriage well under way, Prince Shou's position as the next King is set in stone."
"Yes, since Prince Shou is the son of the King's First Wife, the power rightfully belongs to him."
The blessings from the guests who were leisurely sipping their wine were all given to Shou.
Shiori, on the other hand, received none despite being Shou's older brother.
"Shou has always been outstanding. If Shou were to become the next country, this country would definitely become much more prosperous by the day! As expected, Prince Shiori, in contrast, is absolutely unreliable..."
"Shh...!"
One of the guests realised that Shiori was standing behind them and quickly reminded the other guests in a panicked manner to not gossip about Shiori.
The younger brother, a Blanc De Noir (Blanc de Noirs describes a wine produced entirely from black grapes), and the older brother, a Blanc De Blanc (Blanc de Blancs is white champagne made exclusively from white-wine grapes; the phrase Blanc de Blancs is French for "white of whites". It is, in one regard, the exact opposite of Blanc de Noirs). While they share the same father, who is the current King, they have different mothers.
For the longest of time, everything and every action that Shiori does has always been looked at in comparison to Shou.
However, after today, nobody will ever compare Shiori with Shou again.
The person who will inherit the throne would wield great power, thus other royalties will simply be used to contrast and further showcase the King's great power. People within the Palace are expected to work hard for the King, be willing to give up their own life to the King, and every fibre of their being are considered to be the King's property.
From today, all Shou needs to do is to give an order, and Shiori would have no choice but to follow his orders. Even if Shou's orders are against Shiori's wishes or his own well-being, Shiori is expected to follow these orders without question.
"Shirori."
"Uncle."
Upon hearing someone calling out to him, Shiori turned around.
It was Shou's and his uncle, Kousuke.
Although Kousuke was wearing his suit in a shabby manner, his charm and air of royalty was not diminished by one bit.
While he is their uncle, he is twenty-six years old this year, and is only four years older than Shiori, who is twenty-two years old.
"As expected, you wearing a formal suit makes you breathtakingly beautiful. Even though hundreds of people are gathered here tonight, I could still find you almost immediately."
"Please refrain from saying more."
Upon hearing the word 'beautiful' being used to describe him, Shiori could not stop himself from frowning in distaste.
No matter how long he spent under the sun, his light snow-like skin could not be tanned or become darker. Clothes that were prepared for him usually suited him perfectly due to his skin tone. However, the very same light and soft colour of his skin stabbed at is pride and lowered his self-confidence. While Shiori is relatively tall and fit, he still appeared to be small and fragile as his muscles remained lean no matter how much he exercised. These traits, coupled with his small waist, made it hard for people to associate words such as 'handsome' with Shiori. To make matters worse, people usually words such as 'beautiful', 'beauty', and other similar words to describe Shiori since he was young.
"Sigh, this really makes me dumbfounded. I've been looking after Shou since he was just a baby...and now, he's getting married before me!" Kousuke commented lackadaisically while glancing over to Shiori. He continued jestingly,
"I, too, want a cute wife. I guess I'll just go for Shiori, hmm?"
Although Kousuke appeared loose and nonchalant, Shiori knew that his uncle was much more shrewd and cunning than everyone else.
Shou begun to introduce his new wife, Kairi, to the foreign guests as a formality. When the newlyweds approached the area which Shiori and Kousuke was at, Kousuke called out to them.
"Congrats to you."
"Thank you." Shou replied with his soothing deep voice that has made countless of people swoon.
"Hey, Shiori, give some congratulatory words to your younger bro too!"
Under his uncle's persistent bantering, Shiori raised his head and looked up towards Shou. It was then that Shiori noticed that in the past, both his and Shou's eight were similar, but now, everything has changed.
'Congratulations.'
Such a simple word to speak, yet Shiori was unable to say it out to the newlyweds. The word seemed to be stuck in his throat, unable to come out. His throat was dry, and was stinging him, making it very uncomfortable and painful.
"Congratulations, my Lord."
At the same time Shiori spoke, other guests suddenly came over to greet and congratulate Shou. Shou turned around, and respectfully accepted and replied the guests who were giving him their blessings. Just like that, several guests started crowding around Shou and his wife, and Shou seemed to become so much further away from Shiori as he moved with the crowd. To Shiori, it was as if Shou did not want to bother protecting Shiori's worthless self-esteem and that Shou made this fact very clear to Shiori.
Shiori clenched his fists tightly.
"Have you not given up on ascending the throne?"
Upon seeing Shiori's small hand gesture, Kousuke shrugged in surprise, He continued,
"The King's power is plenty indeed. Those who ascend the throne, when compared to others, seem to be so far away from the masses in terms of power...just like heaven and earth."
From the very beginning, Shiori knew that the right to ascend the throne is with Shou, who was birthed by the King's First Wife.
Kousuke was even-tempered, and no matter with who - Shou, the King (who is Shou and Shiori's dad and Kousuke's elder brother), he has a great relationship with everyone. This is the very reason why he was able to live such a carefree life and not be exploited by others despite being in the Palace. In contrast, Shiori's relationship with Shou is simply terrible, and is similar to that of rivals, or even that of enemies.
"Just try to get along with Shou." Were the parting words that Kousuke left for Shiori before disappearing into the bustling crowd.
Soon after he left, a handsome middle-aged man who looked a little seedy went over to where Shiori was. Earl Marlo (I will reconfirm his name) is an influential businessman - he owns a large wine-making company and wine storage area in the country. His status is high enough to require other Earls to give him priority for matters.
"I would like to give my heartfelt congratulations to your younger brother regarding his marriage."
"......Thank you."
Since young, Shiori has heard several times about the colourful life of Marlo - his debauchery, and news of his affairs were heard every so often by Shiori. No matter what, Shiori knew that he would never be able to like this man who uses eyes full of vanity when looking at Shiori, as if trying to judge how attractive Shiori is.
"Is Your Highness thinking of settling down soon too?"
"......That is still unconfirmed." Shiori replied in a manner that was ambiguous with a hint of resignation.
"You really have no freedom when you are a royalty. You might as well marry me, what do you think? You're still as beautiful as ever, Shiori."
Seeing a smile that seemed to imply nothing but malicious intent, Shiori could not help but to feel a shiver going down his spine.
As disgusting as Marlo's proposal may sound, it may well become a reality for Shiori.
Marlo is someone who holds a high status in society, and if the King feels that this influence can be used to benefit the royal family, he might just order Shiori to marry him.
And if Shou orders Shiori to marry Marlo......
At this very moment, a sudden cry of joy and shrieks came from the main hall.

It's late and it's time to read more history notes.
Hope to see you soon!
Till then, enjoy the translation!

The Royal Fiancé -White Prince- Brief Introduction and translation of the blurb
I DO NOT OWN THIS WORK, ASUMA RISAI (the author) DOES.
PS. Nobody owns Shiori either.
((Pardon certain judgements that I pass on the characters in the last line of their introduction. These are for crack purposes.))
Translation of the blurb:
During the wedding of Ecuratol's Second Prince's (Shou) Wedding, the First Prince of Ecuratol (Shiori), who is a man known to be of incomparable beauty, encountered a disrespectful and arrogant man (Kurosaki), and was even robbed of his first kiss by this unknown man. To Shiori who guards his purity dearly, this act was unquestionably done to humiliate him. However, due to Shiori's own mistake, Kurosaki's Wine Company suffered large losses. And the price that Kurosaki requested Shiori to pay was Shiori's own body!? Upon listening to the sweet whisper of loving words by Kurosaki, a man with two sides - the perfect gentlemen and an absolute beast, Shiori cannot help but to give his first night to Kurosaki......!
That was intense.
Kept to the punctuations of the original! (Yes, that "!?" is in the blurb heheh)
Characters:
Shiori:
The First Price and the Elder Brother of Shou. Although portrayed to be an aloof, pure and proud character, he is actually quite self-deprecating.
Aw heck he should just give Kurosaki a good kick.
Kurosaki:
The head of a new and relatively influential Japanese wine-making company that has close ties with the country of Ecuratol. He is known to be a playboy.
Nah. He's just a sadistic bastard. But handsome.
Shou:
The Second Prince and Younger Brother of Shiori. There is a giant rift in the relationship between the two brothers and their current connection is only that of working partners.
Just married. Enjoying his cheesy romance while his older bro suffers a whole lot.
Kairi:
Shou's wife. (Or husband. Or whatever.) He's kind and sensible.Likes Loves to clean.
Cutest character in the book. Needs to be kept away from Shou. ASAP.
Some pedo royalty I forgot his name will translate later:
Interested in Shiori. Owns the biggest wine-making company in Ecuratol and holds considerable power. PS I decided that his name shall be Marlo.
The handsome uncle i forgot his name too dammit it's KOUSUKE wewwwwewww:
Ex-Playboy. Has a true partner now.
Mood: N.e.e.d.S.l.e.e.p.

Royal Fiancé -White Prince- Novel Translation Mini-Project announcement
Just read "The Royal Fiancé -White-" Novel, and damn, it is good. The story was much angstier than the "The Royal Fiancee -Black-" Manga's and I really love the uke (Sho's brother, Shiori) so much! Kairi appeared several times too and his cuteness and clueless level just shot up through the roof. Sho was mostly "an asshole" (quoted by my cousin) throughout this novel, but hush hush plot twist somewhere.
Anyways. To the main point. This novel is really nice and I would highly recommend it to all you fudanshis and fujoushis out there. Even if you're not, just read it. Angst does some good in life.
Hence, as it is in TRADITIONAL CHINESE (ungh), lots of people are unable to read it/enjoy it at all, which is a pity as it's a really nice novel that should be shared. So I've decided to attempt to translate the novel bit......by............bit..........(Depending on my schedule sobs Starting this right before my PW OP is not the best idea but oh wells) into English <3
Please note that the translation will not be the best translation and representation on the way that the author writes the character's feelings, actions and mannerisms.
Alright. Enough with my ramblings. A summary of the novel shall be up soon. Spoilers maybe? Or not. Heh. Onwards to making this Blog NSFW!
Keep tabs on this blog / post for more updates! Translations will be found on the other blog posts

Alright. Enough with my ramblings. A summary of the novel shall be up soon. Spoilers maybe? Or not. Heh. Onwards to making this Blog NSFW!
Keep tabs on this blog / post for more updates! Translations will be found on the other blog posts
